All students who are 13 years or older, green belt & up are eligible to sign up.  This course is only offered once a year.  All 1st Dan/1st Poom are strongly encouraged to have the minimum level of P3. The age & belt restriction only applies to the kids.

Parents & adults of all belt levels (or not) are welcome to take part.  All those who meet the requirements will receive a certificate and be certified as provincial referee.  The cost of the seminar is $15 per student.

Inner Strength Tournament

We had a solid group at the Inner Strength Tournament in Halifax on the weekend. Big congratulations to Chase and Cole Scantlebury who both fought extremely well in a very tough division winning gold and bronze respectively.

Master Beaton’s students did very well too with Kathryn taking gold, Kallie and Madi both taking silver.

PEI was also able to help out with the refereeing and judging with Mandy Li and Harvey Mitchell officiating. Thanks to both of you for doing such a great job as always.

There will be more tournaments coming up both on the Island and in the Maritimes. Please let us know if you are interested in attending any of them.

Inner Strength Tournament This Weekend

Further to the posters that have been posted in the dojang and the announcements by the instructors, I wanted to remind everyone that Master Porter of Inner Strength Taekwondo will be hosting his tournament, the Atlantic Canada Taekwondo Games in Fall River, N.S. this weekend.

This is an excellent tournament and a number of us will be heading over. There is some funding available from the Association to subsidize some of the tournament costs. Information on the tournament is available at www.innerstrengthtkd.com.

Please let me know if you are interested in attending by filling out the contact form on the site.

Thanks,
